Serrata was brewed in collaboration with our friends at Gigantic Brewing. This barrel-aged farmhouse ale is brewed with oats, spelt, and incorporates American hops and red shiso, a common Japanese herb we found inspiration from during a shared trip to Japan. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, and 100% bottle conditioned.

Bottle, 75cl. A lightly hazy pale copper colored beer with a small white head. The aroma is funky and lightly vinegary, with a touch of pale malts. Lightly bready. It's tart and medium bodied, softly carbonated, with a mostly fruity flavor. Vinegar, bread, generic fruityness and some toffee. Medium length finish. Nice, but a bit too much vinegar going on for me. 241231

Bottle. Clear amber with a dense cm of white head. Funky aroma of old lemons, herbs, pepper, boot polish. Light bodied, medium low carbonation. Old lemons, twiggy Brett, briefly punchy herbal notes - mint, green pepper, anise - then a surprisingly clear citrusy bitter finish. Complex. But harmonious?
