Härke Pils, Fläschchen von REWE, Groß Ilsede. - Goldgelb, klar. (18.8.2020.)

Sampled from 0.33 l bottle from 'EDEKA Preller' (Breckerfeld), best before September 2018. Clear, golden with a thin, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, slightly grassy aroma of grains and some straw. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, slightly grassy taste of grains and some straw, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy and quite metallic finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay.

12th May 2017: two half-litre glasses (on tap) sat on a raised terrace in the afternoon sun in the little town of Witzenhausen while waiting for the Schinkel’s Brewpub to open. Clear and clean golden body, snow white head that sadly didn’t hang around. Crisp and hop first in the nose and taste, decent malty undertone which backed off a little to give a good, dry, hoppy finish. Refreshing in the sunshine, espeicially after escaping earlier from Colditz Castle.

0,33 l Steinie bottle. Clear golden in the glass, one finger white head. Soft sweet grassy grainy on the nose. Taste starts wirh a rough bitterness, mid grainy, malt in the second row. Overlaying bitterness from the middle part until the finish. No real taste, no real pleasure to drink.
