On tap at Himmeriget, pours a hazy dark reddish burgundy. Aroma brings out loads of red berries, lacto and lactose. Flavour is gently tart and quite sweet, with intense red berries, lots of lactose, and a base of lacto. Extremely sweet, not that sour, somewhat boozy. Fun but not particularly interesting.

440ml can. Pitch black with a tan head. Aroma of cocoa powder, orange peel. Taste is rich, sweet (but not too sweet), dark chocolate, orange, brown sugar, molasses, warming booze - almost like it's been in a barrel, brandy perhaps? Full bodied, thick, smooth. Standard liquid Terry's comment but it's pretty evocative. A pastry stout done right.

Can at home, from HOTM online, 25/12/22, Pitch black with a decent tan covering that settles as a spiders web swirl. Nose is dark chocolate, nougat, candied orange peel, hazelnut, light spice, dark malts. Taste comprises chocolate, liquorice, spice, roasted bite, brown sugar melt, molasses, subtle orange peel, alcohol, nutty. Full bodied, oily mouthfeel, balanced rising boost. Decent pastry number ... could have gone overly sweet and sticky but maintains a good balance and a light roasted bite.
