bottle - Pours a lightly hazy straw color with a medium sized white head. It has a mild, citrus and wheat malt aroma. The flavor is of lightly sweet malted wheat with a good hops balance and ample citrus accents. It has a light body, avoids the watery character found in some wheats, and finishes crisp and lightly bitter. I’m surprised the ratings aren’t higher as I really liked this one and I’m not usually a big wheat beer fan. Actually checking my stats, this one is now my highest rated wheat ale.

Salted wheat and date smell. Cloudy golden, no head, nice carbonation. Weak wheat grain flavor, leaving a lemony tang. Nice mouthfeel, refreshing, but medicore otherwise.

Bottle. Pours a hazy pale yellow color with a white head. Fruity malty wheaty aroma with some weak hints of citrus. Sweet malty fruity and slightly bitter flavor with some hints of citrus. Has a fruity wheaty finish with a slightly bitter aftertaste.

Medium hazy yellow in color with a frothy white head that goes away fully. Aroma is grainy malts and citruis hops with some pear. Taste was not memorable, a little bit like honey and tea. Nothing special.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy pale golden color with a large frothy white head that diminishes slowly. The aroma is a pale wheat and some citrus. Decent lacing on the glass. The taste is a bitter citrus, dont get much wheat taste at all and bit watery. Not too much going on with this wheat ale from Sierra Nevada.

Pours golden with bright white frothy head. The aroma is hoppy with spicier hops, mild wheat and sugar sweet sugar sweetness. The flavor starts sharp with tangy, spicy, lemony to slightly floral hops. Just like the aroma a mild wheat flavor and vague sweetness just murmur for a moment and then subside. The finish is somewhat dry, thin and watery as well as a lingering tart lemon and mild spicy hoppiness that follows.

Bottle. Light gold color with about a finger and a half of white head. Aromas are OK... a bit of a lemon and grass mixture. Flavor is VERY thin... some wheat maltiness, a bit of grass and a touch of lemon. Uninspiring.

Bottle. Hazy medium to dark yellow color with a large frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to white haed. Aroma is light to moderate hoppy, flowers, light yeasty. Initial flavor is light to moderate sweet and moderate bitter, finish flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Neutral, dry and hoppy. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft.

Unclear orange with white foam. Hoppy aroma. Fruity taste again hops. Very light wheat appearance and a lot more bitter than sweet. This falls a little of its category, but all around drinkable! But then again you expect quality from a brewery like Siearra nevada!

So I’ve never had this beer, and it’s the fourth of july, the perfect season for stuff like this, so what the hell, why not? - moderately cloudy gold, with a medium-sized, foamy head - aroma of bready/yeasty notes, mild citrus/orange sweetness, and slight earthy tartness - a tiny bit tangy and tart up front - fairly dry, with the wheat very forward - somewhat bready, with a touch of spice and a very slight nuttiness - lacking depth, but a nice beer for a summer day.
