Clear golden topped with an off white cap that thins to a swirl.
Nose is mellow citric zest, floral whisper, grass, pale malts.
Taste comprises orange peel, floral tones, airy malts, grass, papaya, melon.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with mellow juicy hop bitterness.
A not unpleasant if rather basic pale.

Keg at the Star of Kings, KingsCross. Aroma has light citrus and malta. Pale slightly opaque gold. Thin foamy translucent white head. Light-medium sour. A hint of sugariness. Underlying malta. Light-medium bodied. Thin. Average carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Boring.

Pours a clear gold, small white head, moderate retention. A floral, citrus and grapefruit aroma - decent punchiness. Taste again quite floral with a leafy bitterness but does have some sweet citrus, grapefruit and malt. Medium bodied, slightly dry. Decent.

Keg draught at the Royal Albert, New Cross. Light to mid-golden and clear with a ring of white head. Gentle citrus aroma with some caramel. Sweet taste, some bready malt with hoppy fruit notes and a slightly bitter finish. Carbonation on the heavy side. Kind of a pale-by-numbers but to be honest I don't mind that in this heat. And it's for a good cause. And I love the reference. Bona!
