Hints of roast and caramel in both aroma and flavor. Pepper. Bitter flavor and aftertaste. Lacks fruit. No more than decent. Swing top bottle from MoritzF.

0.3 l on tap at ’Fiege’s Stammhaus’. Clear, dark brownish amber with a medium large, foamy, stable, off-white head. Sweetish, slightly grassy, a bit fruity aroma of caramel, red fruits and toasted nuts. Slightly sweetish, moderately bitter, malty, slightly grassy-spicy and a little fruity taste of caramel, toasted nuts, some bread and a touch of raisins, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy-spicy and minimally roasty finish. Medium body, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Decent Alt.

Malzig-herb.

Pours a clear light brown, somewhat coppery color topped with quite some tan colored head. The aroma is pretty weak, some malts and that’s it. The taste starts neutral to sweet, followed by decent bitterness, finishing with some spicy feel. Nicely drinkable and tasty.

Flasche von McTapps, vielen Dank Sabine! Klares braunes Alt mit schöner stabiler Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht röstmalzig, sonst leider kaum Aromen. Geschmack röstmalzig, dann leicht bitter. Insgesamt aber zu wässrig!
