Bottled (thanks Papsoe!). Deep amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is wood, hops, hay and some mild caramel malts in it too. Flavour is wooden, fruity, malty and big hoppyness creeping up through the other flavours. Quite hayish and sweet in the finish.

Bottle. Pours a clear, copper body with a beige head. Nice lacings. Very grainy and wort-like aroma with a sweetish touch. Wort-like flavor, quite sweet, with some bitterness. Medium to full body. Finishes grainy and sweet. A decent beer, not my style, sure drinkable, but I find it too wort-like. (071027)

Bottled. A dark amber beer with a huge beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, and so is the flavor, with a sticky body. Simple, but quite nice.

bottle, thanks to MoritzF and pivnizub! Brown colour, very large and creamy persistent head. Flavours of caramel and roasted malt, rather hoppy. Clear hints of herbs. Smooth mouthfeel.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a clear, nutty brown with a tall, dense, off-white head leaving thick lumps of head. Lightly nutty and roasted malt accents in the aroma. Fairly light in body - perhaps even a bit watery. Also light flavours of nuts and roasted malt and a short, dry finish without much bitterness. 300607

Bottle, Danke Max! Light roasted and spicy wonderbread aroma. Beautifull chestnut, foamy golden head. Fairly light somewhat papery base. A bit roast and herbal edges. Watery finish. A hint of berries in the aftertaste.

Bügelverschlußflasche: Light amber coloured, lacing, quite firm white head; metallic, musty cardboardy nose, some bitterness detectable; sweetish-bitter flavour, light bodied; bitter-fruity finish with an unpleasant adsringent metallic aftertaste. Pretty crappy Alt, a nice drain pour..............

(swing top bottle) Clear, dark amber coloured with a fluffy and quite stable beige foam with lace. Slightly sweet toastmalty aroma with caramel and papery notes; only shy hints of hops and almost no fruitiness (traces of honey). Bitter flavour, light to medium body, crispy carbonated mouthfeel. Quite aromatic dry toastmalty initial taste with caramel, but rather slim and short, moderately bitter and slightly papery finish. Where are the hops used for the great Fiege Pils ? I´m pretty disappointed, although it is still drinkable, but it lacks obviously noble hops and fruit-character.
