“With its golden hue and gentle complexity, the Terrapin Golden Ale brings refreshing to a whole new level. Its combination of flavor, smoothness and drinkability is difficult to find in most craft beers. Sometimes even hopheads like us want nothing more than to enjoy a beer that is crisp, smooth and refreshing. That is why we created the perfect session beer - the Terrapin Golden Ale.”

Sampled from the tap at 5 Seasons Prado. Pours a clear yellowish gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma seems a bit thin but does have a note of sweet grain and hint of hay. Flavor starts slightly sweet but grows to have sweet notes of grain and corn.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a light gold color with a thin off-white head that disappears quickly and leaves no lacing. The aroma is caramel, apples, apricots, and oats. The flavor is crisp fructose sweetness, with a smooth, faint bitter finish. The palate is light, very astringent and acidic, and sticky. Overall, very drinkable and tasty, but the palate is unpleasant.

DMSed smell of canned green beans and apple juice. Hazy yellow, headless, with a single stream of carbonation rising from the middle of the glass. Flavor is metallic, light malt and grass, weak, but not awful. Crisp finish, a tad overly carbonated. This is one beer I’m glad Terrapin didn’t bring to my state.

bottle, pours gold with a tall frothy white head. Strong sweet corn aroma with a sour hop note. Nice sweet pale malt and orange flavor with a nice lingering finish of malt and creamy oats. This is what a session beer is all about.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a vibrant golden color with a trace of a white head. The aroma was lightly tart and fruity. The flavor was dryish, tart and vaguely fruity with a touch of bisquick underneath. The finish was short and tangy. Eh.
