Brewed only once a year with fresh hops hand-picked in Longmont, CO and Warrior hops straight off the vine from Yakima, WA.
Warrior is brewed using a unique style called “Wet Hopping,” which requires only hops that are no more than a day from the vine. “Wet Hopping” imparts only a mild aroma, but an exceptionally fresh unfiltered hop flavor.

bottle, big thanks to pivnizub!!! Clear amber-golden colour with an orange glow, mid-sized off-white head. Citrusy hop nose. Full-bodied, solid malty background with lots of spicy and citrusy hops, resulting in a bitter-sweet character. Smooth palate. A pleasure - thanks a lot, pivnizub!

Bottle from Utobeer, London. Label looks like a dodgy prog rock album cover - think they should have stuck with the Indian warrior. Poured a clear darkish copper colour with a creamy gradually dissipating white head. Plenty of damp leafy hop in the snout with some citrus and spice notes. Hop profile was a satisfying one with a half decent supporting malt base. ABV nicely smothered, giving this a real drinkability. Most enjoyable brew from these guys I’ve had so far.

Orange peel nose. Cloudy orange, medium lacing head. A little tinny, citrusy, orange flesh and peel.

Bottle from Utobeer. Russet amber colour, lasting thick beige head. Lovely aroma of Warrior hops. Piney and resiny. Lovely. So it smells good and looks good. Somehow though it manages to lose its way in the mouth.. Flavour just doesn’t come through except the hops, the malt just isn’t there to give enough body and structure. Good hop sting and it has more resiny hop on the finish. It’s an ok IPA, love the hops, even if they do tend towards the metallic on the end, but you know what? The middle just falls away.

ambrata buona schiuma leggermente grossolana piuttosto persitente naso luppolato fresco pungente resinoso agrumato banana in bocca leggero caramelo ma sono le note lupolate a essere in risalte risultanto comunque non molto amaro piuttosto secca

Bottle 65cl. @ home.Light unclear medium orange color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, caramel, moderate to light heavy hoppy, citrus, orange, sharp. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and peel bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light metalic. [20091118]

Draught at Ginger Man NYC on 25th July 2009. Cloudy, hazy orange/gold with rocky white froth. Very hoppy with some delectable herby hemp notes which sharpen in the main taste climax. Slight tickly mouthfeel which I liked, settles down to a zingy texture on which a relatively long dry finish is delivered. Worthy of its higher ratings on RB.

Bottle: deep golden, hazy, medium-sized - slowly collapsing - off-white head; solid herbal-hoppy nose with a toasty backbone; very solid dry bitter flavour, medium bodied; totally lingering, sweeter malty and herbal-spicy finish, the hops sticking to the palate. Very good, unusually malty IPA............

(66cl bottle) Hazy, dark amber colour with a small off-white head. Sweet toast-malty aroma with caramel/toffee with tea-like, herbal (sage) and spicy elements, accompanied by slightly piney hops. Bitter flavour, dry mouthfeel with a medium body, soft on carbon. Toasty malty body, bready and crusty taste with a note of cough syrup, caramel and spicy notes; bitter-sweet malt-accented finish with an aromatic, slightly piney hoppy blend. Well-rounded hoppy and malty IPA (22.VII.09).

Aroma: Citrus hops, light fruity nose
Appearance: Hazy darkish orange color
Flavor: A decent hoppiness with some sweetness to balance it out
Palate: Medium body, drinks pretty decently
Overall Impression: I thought this was a decent IPA, not the top of the style, but a nice enough beer.
