We Consider this an extreme version of an American Pale Ale. It has a very up front floral and citrus aroma from a late cascade addition and dry hopping with Amarillo. This beer also has a big malt background to balance the bitterness of the hops. The rye malt cleans up your palette after you swallow so the hop flavor does not stick in your mouth too long.

Bottle. Pours a dark gold color. This was wonderfully balanced beer that had both a strong hop taste and a strong malt one. Aroma was more on the hoppy side with a slight caramel sweet note. Pretty good.

Bottle @ Brewhouse Cafe, Atlanta. Dark golden with a thin head. Crisp and hoppy over any stated rye, but there is a hint of gritty malts in this respect. All still very drinkable.

Can at MS Ignite. Medium amber with an off white head (consumed from the can). Nose is citrus and some spice. Medium bitter over a light malt base and a good amount of rye spice. Mouth is medium with average carbonation. 8-/3/7+/3+/15

Can sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks kerenmk. Golden with a white head. Stale hops aroma. Dry flavor with bitterish stale hops, a sweetish malty touch, and a rye hint. Light to medium-bodied. Seems too old (BBD is 3 weeks ago).

This rye PA poured a medium Amber colour with a nice, foamy, off white head. Scents include spruce hops, light citrus hops and a little varnish? First swig was a little thin but a good belt of citrus hops. Flavours of tea, grapefruit and malt most prominent. Finish is bitter with hop flavour lingering...

12 oz. bottle with a best before date of 8/21/15. Thanks going to weihenweizen for this opportunity. Copper in color with fast dying head. Aroma has a large fruit character with the rye coming in underneath.
The flavor has the mentioned rye with some mild cascade hops ( floral and fruity) the body is on the real thin side (borderline watery). Other than the thin mouthfeel this is a pleasing brew. No off flavors, freshness is paramount on this one. The rye saves this brew for me.
