Bottle: Amber coloured, small but stable and lacing white head; dark malt and traces of toasted malt in the aroma, hops in the backyard; a tinge of dark fruit as well; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium-bodied; spicy hoppy and dark-malty finish. O.K.......

500 ml brown bottle, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. ABV is 6.5%. Beautiful deep amber to copper colour, large head. Lovely aroma of treacle and butterscotch, notes of rum-drenched fruits. The flavour is rich and malty with loads of caramel, butterscotch and fruit, decent hops in the finish. This is an Easter bock I’d be happy to drink again.

Draught. Weak malty aroma. Clear, dark chestnut colour. Very small head. The flavour is a bit watery, but roasted and slightly dusty. Nice enough, but a bit boring.

[Draught at Købehavnske Øldage] Clear amber. Some toffee and grass up front. Sweet and medium bodied. There’s some caramel, but not much that sticks out. It’s also on the sweet side. A bit of a let down after their winter bock.

An amber beer with a huge light brown head. The aroma is very yeasty, but also with notes of malt and brewmash. The flavor is sweet and very malty combined with strong notes of caramel, leading to a dry metallic end.
