Bottled. A deep red beer with an off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and bread, leading to a lightly dry finish.

Bottle, 5.6%. Malty aroma, slightly farty. Clear dark brown colour. The flavour starts off quite roasted. Has a good clean roasted flavour, turning slightly creamy in the finish.

50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown, clear, golden and with a small off-white head. Mild spiced, hoppy and roasted malt aroma. Subdued sweet malt flavoured, light roasted and vague hops to light spiced like. Breadish and caramelish. Smooth and good balanced brew. Lasting breadish and roasted impression into the far finish.

Bottle: Very dark amber coloured, quickly, to a thin layer diminishing white foam; sourish, malty nose: burnt (not roasted !) malt, a tinge of caramel, wood (tannine) and burnt coffee; sourish, faint malty flavour, dry, metallic; short, malty, metallic and sourish finish with a tinge of bitterness. There’s no need to beat about the bush: this is a really cheap and nasty "beer" !

(bottle, best before: 07.07.06) Dark red brown colour with a big but fast vanishing frothy off-white head. Looks and smells like a weak Flemish Red. Slightly vinous sour malty aroma with caramel and plums. Sweet and sour flavour, light to medium body, lively carbonated. Initially light sweet malty and fruity (plums/japanese umeboshi) taste with a touch of caramel, slightly tart and fruity, light bitter finish. This one is either the best (and first) Flemish Sour “Ale”-like brew from Germany I had so far or the worst Dunkel I had in my life. I cannot find any similarity to the ratings done before !? Very strange brew !
