Klare goldene Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malziger, leicht hopfiger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, leicht hopfig, leicht getreidig. Mittlere Süße mit mittlerer Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

Drunk from tap at Perlacher Wirtshaus zum Post. Dark gold beer work moderate head. Spicy, malty aroma with a full caramel flavor and very present earthy bitterness bordering on Oktoberfest Märzen. Not too complex, but a tasty traditional one.

Bottle picked up from REWE, Zolling and consumed at home Attenkirchen Saturday 7th December 2019 listening to Mattiel - Satis Factory cooking Chicken stuffed with Cheese and wrapped in Pancetta with a selection of Roasted Vegetables and a Mustard Sauce. Pours a very striking gold with a white head, clear as a bell. Soft carbonation, a gentle bitterness, good hoppiness with this one.

Light colored, no specific aroma. Medium bodied, malty and flowery. Some hops shimmering through, not very much. Soft beer that drinks away fairly easily.

Von Holzfass at Braustub Munchen. Thought that was the best way to check up on this MJ 500 beer. Bright gold, crystal clear, with a tall, slightly rocky head. Light lemon in the nose, with sweet biscuits, bread. Overwhelmingly malty. Sweet flavor os honey and biscuits, with light lemony hops and a slightly peppery finish. There is some sulfury minerals too. Soft, smooth body with low carbonation as expected. How does it stand up? Not well. It is sweet, lacks hops, and the malt character is far too simple to carry it. It does have a lovely and drinkable body due to the gravity pour, though. But I think that growth in the company may have led to cheaper malt bills, and there are just too many better lagers around to think this is still interesting.

Bottle with expiry 10.18. Golden colour, rocky head that quickly disappears. Nose is faint, with cellar and malt. Mouth is cellar, malt, alcohol. Light bitterness, light sweetness. Lively carbonation, feels overcarbonated to a degree that makes it hard to feel the taste. Too alcoholic. Not very drinkable. I have nothing against a malty Helles, but this one is just poor.
