A hazy golden yellow beer with a white head. Aroma of herbs, elderflower, pale malt. Taste of elderflower, pale malt, herbal hops, easy to drink.

Op een warme dorstige avond. Kleur is geel, troebel.

Surprisingly interesting. I could drink more of this. Obviously rare for an AF.

1/VIII/24 - 33cl can @ Ardennes Holiday, BB: XII/2025, 23450/18, 35414:12 (2024-650) Thanks to Abeel for sharing the can!
Clear gold blond beer, small creamy white head, unstable, a bit adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: very fruity, tropical fruits, juicy, bubble gum, but overall very artificial tropical fruits flavourings, smells like it’s going to be very sweet? MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: very floral, a bit sweet, lemon, lemonade, a gentle acidity, a little bitter, artificial peach flavourings, peach candy. Aftertaste: a bit sourish, floral, fruity, more lemonade, elderflower, not bad, not great, but a bit too sweet and I don’t like the artificial flavouring impressions I’m getting.

Can 33cl. from a local AH supermarket @home poured into a shaker. Hazy pale golden colour, small frothy white head, mostly diminishing, light lacing. Fragrant aroma, sweet malt, elderflower, mastic gum, lychee, lemon leaf, floral hops. Taste medium sweet and slightly bitter, faint malt, elderflower, mastic gum, lychee, light lemon. Light body, watery texture, soft carbonation, semi-dry sweetbitter aftertaste, peppery notes, surprising and refreshing, nice.

Review based on the BJCP2021 guidelines (style 30A: elderflower / 25A adapted: low alcohol). Can 33 cl - Batch 15908:36 (BB: 06/25). AROMA: medium-high floral and citrusy aroma (elderflower, cherry blossom, lychees, lemon), followed by a medium-low to low neutral, bready background. APPEARANCE: pale yellow color and slightly hazy. meidum-low white head with medium retention. TASTE: initial medium elderberry, cherry blossom floral flavor, followed by low citrusy notes (lemony). medium-low bready and slightly sweet and yeast background. medium bitterness with a semi-dry to dry finish. PALATE: medium-low to low body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: the typical belgian blond ale notes are almost absent but the additions make this (low-alcohol) beer very fragrant and enjoyable.

Can. Hazy pale straw. When I open the can there’s a massive aroma of Turkish Delight and wine gums. There’s wheat and oats, all very creamy and nice, but then there’s the massive fake candy aroma again…. Medium sweet, barely any bitterness. Medium bodied with creamy oat mouthfeel. I don’t remember if the regular Bloesem Blond was this chemical, but this is really overpowering and not nice.
