On the dark side of brown, quite dark for the style but with a good amount of reddish hints if seen through light. Average head, slightly off-white, looks quite creamy; shows good enough retention and lacing. Moderate to average intensity in a clean but very simple aroma, with a clear main focus on caramel maltiness, plus honey and very light hints of roasted malts; all among a general soft feel. Taste notes follow the aroma closely: again, moderate to average intensity, clean flavour profile, very little depth. A bit too much sweetness in the overall balance, in both taste and aftertaste, though the finish/aftertaste still doesn't feel sticky. Quite light in body with low to medium carbonation; a hint of silkness, definitely an easily drinkable beer. Overall: a sweet, quite anonymous interpretation of the style; still very much drinkable.

0.5 l bottle from local 'Trink & Spare', best before January 2026. Clear, dark reddish brown with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, a bit roasty aroma of caramel, cocoa and toasted nuts. Gently sweet, malty, a bit roasty, moderately bitter taste of caramel, cocoa, toasted nuts and a touch of wet leaves, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a little roasty finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay.

Top Kellerbier. Haltbare, feinporige Schaumkrone, malzig, Röstaromen, feiner Hopfen, super süffig.

Bottle at home. Aroma is malt, strong caramel, toffee, spicy notes, touch of nuts and dried fruits. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Not bad, though I had hoped for a little more Keller and a little less Dunkel.

Sensory Session #1: murky, brown color and a nice off-white head. Nose is malty, caramel, burnt sugar, sweetish.Taste starts herbal-malty, nice caramel, some yeasty-bananas. Rather short finish.
