Víking Golden lager is an internationally recognized quality beer that has received Monde Selection gold medals in 1992, 2002 and 2003. It has an alcohol content of 5,6% by volume and is brewed using a large quantity of hops to give it its much coveted bitterness.

Old rating from 20-04-15 - 330ml bottle brought back from Iceland. Poured at home in Jersey. It's golden with a small white foamy head. Aromas & tastes of herbs, cereal, bread, grain & sweet malt. Moderate body. Medium carbonation. Light bitter finish. Passable

500 ml can, shared with my son, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.6%. Clear golden colour, large to moderate white head. Sweetish aroma of malts and newmown grass. The flavour is malty, grainy and fairly bland, but not unpleasant. A hint of honey.

Årets første reiting i solkroken, en nydelig dag i mars: klar lys gylden med fint skum som varer. Citrusfriskt anslag med lett florale toner og fin bitterhet i avslutningen. Ganske saftig ettersmak med assosiasjoner til clementiner, så her går det greit unna. Utesesongen er endelig igang igjen! 0,5 boks fra fjernlageret i Verksgata.
