Bottle. Kernel advent box day 4. 5.4%. Mostly clear very deep reddy brown. Swede is thick and rocky. Not as dense as some but it stays the course admirably. Nose has fruity cocoa notes. Granary loaf. Light grapefruit-esque hop. Taste is semi sweet with a light earthy roasty bitterness. Beautiful silky mouthfeel with pitch perfect fizz. Fruity chocolate to finish. What a fantastic brown ale.

5.5% bottle. Appearance is cola-brown, a huge light brown head which nearly foams over the glass. Aroma- bready malt, caramel, toast, nutty notes, bit of coffee, grassy hop hints. Taste is smooth and nutty, biscuity malt, chocolate hints, hop bitterness, full-bodied. Bitter finish with some nutty sweetness. Rich and nutty. Very nice.

Monumentális, bézs hab, sötétbarna szín. Karamelles, malátás, gyümölcsös, leheletnyit citrusos illat. Malátás, karamelles, enyhén citrusos ízek. Könnyű, erősen szénsavas, enyhén keserű. Finom, jól sikerül sör.

On tap at Taphouse CPH. Hazy amber brown with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of chocolate, toffee and citrus. Dryish malty flavour with citrus hops blending in perfectly. Bring back the India Brown Ale!

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours clear, deep brown with a gorgeous, beige frappe head. Light-medium sweet flavour with rich roasty-toasty malts, burnt pine, orange rind. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Great balance to finish, a little baking cocoa, ash, more oily pine and citrus peel. Superb.

Keg at Kernel taproom, Bermondsey, London. A hazy dark brown coloured pour with a healthy beige head on top. Roasty, malty, caramel, dark fruit taste and aroma, quite bitter but decent enough.
