Bottle from HoTM. It pours hazy dark brown with a thick, fluffy, lasting lake tan head. The aroma is fresh, fragrant, juicy, bitter - sweet, tangerine, orange marmalade, blood orange, roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, nutty, toasted pine and millionaire's shortbread. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, rich roasted malt, pleasing charred pine, pine needles, pleasing bitterness which lingers throughout, touch green, pithy, zesty, tangy, grapefruit, orange, campari, cacao nibs and a touch of toasted nut with a dry, bitter roast finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Plenty of flavour, depth and also very drinkable. I am a big fan.

1/3 pint, draught, shared with BeerViking and Finn at Kernel Brewery Taproom. Dark brown body, clingy lacing, patches on the surface. Inviting aromas of brown malts with hop fruity support. Flavoured with caramel malts, bread, and leafy hops. Malt-fruity ending with a nice roasted bitter bite. Like it. (Bermondsey, London 12.02.2023).
