An understated hero inspires our Neville Hopbottom Cold IPA. This unassuming IPA style utilizes cold fermentation to reveal the full glory of the featured hops, showcasing Calypso, Galaxy and Citra hop flavors and aromas throughout. Expressions of earthy lime citrus, juicy stone fruit and light pine exude throughout the beer’s nose and taste. The beer is dry and crisp on the finish, revealing a boldly hoppy character arch that celebrates the individual strengths of this IPA style.

A 12 oz can acquired at the nearest HEB supermarket, stamp says born on Nov 1, 2024. The beer is cooled, opened and tilting inside of my Buffalo Bayou snifter. I determine a dense yellow-gold body completed by a huge head of ice white foam, a good lacing possibility it appears. The nose is fairly light. Grain, hops, citrus and yellow fruit of some kind. The taste is more focused, I appreciate that. Cedar pine, lemons, grass, malt, a touch of grapefruit and a minute hard candy sweetness. Decently bitter. Definitely old school WC style, bless you 903. A credible and tasty IPA.

Aromas are mild, mainly resin with a bit of citrus. Flavors are somewhat similar to nose, starting sweet going to a bitter finish and enough carbonation to balance. Some more sweet at the very end. Decent but not great.

12 ounce can from Festival Northland, 2/21/23. Slighty hazy golf, thin head, average retention. Aroma of melon, grapefruit, a bit of dank. Taste is dank, resin, pine, grapefruit. Moderate bitterness. Nice.
