Při každém vaření Zimy, našeho tradičního barley wine, se snažíme posunout svoje limity a tuhle sezónu jsme to pojali ve velkém: 36° Plato, 11.8 % Alk. a téměř 4 měsíce ležení v tanku. Většinu várky jsme uložili zrát do dubových barelů, takže se máte v budoucnu na co těšit, ale malou část jsme se rozhodli uvést na trh už teď v sudech a 330ml plechovkách. Husté pivo rubínově červené barvy a sirupovité konzistence s tóny brusinek, višní a tmavých hroznů s trochou dýmu z uzených papriček Ancho. Nečekejte pálivou pikantnost, spíš náznak uzených švestek v aroma.

Can 0.33l from our archive, three and half years aged. 38°C, ideal time for some winter warmer. But it's name is so cool...
Hazy, copper colored. AROMA- caramel, honey, strawberry, forest berries, cherry, plum, dark grapes, touch of alcohol, yes, I think I have slight touch of Ancho chilli. FLAVOR- very sweet, very bitter, full of fruit again, honey, earthy, licorice, pleasant alcohol. Full, syrupy body.

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Bit syrupy and malty with dried fruits, stewed fruit, caramel, marzipan. Pretty sweet and sticky, moderate bitter. Good full sticky body. Rich.

Hazy bright orange brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of dried red fruits, caramel, berries, plums, red wine. Taste of dried dark red fruits, berries, raisins, plums, strong body, boozy finish.

RBESG 2023, Zagreb Grand Tasting. Thanks! Dark amber. Fruit jam, spice and alcohol aroma. Sweet, caramel and molasses flavour. Smooth, medium to full body, moderate bitterness.

Can at home. Brown-red color, beige head. Aroma and flavor are malts, sweetness, leaves, booze, raisins, prunes. Heavy beer. Better to share this with someone rather than drinking it alone.

--Canned at RBESG Grand Tasting 2023. -- Clear deep amber, small head. Bready caramel aroma. Sweet with full body and rounded, sticky mouthfeel. Sticky bread, caramel and brandy. Intensely warming finish.

On tap at Gollem Craft Beers - Amstelstraat, pours a clear dark amber / bronze with a small beige head. Aroma brings out burnt caramel, toffee, a touch of candied apple and bready malt. Flavour is malty and rich, with lots of toffee, caramel apple, butterscotch and brown sugar. There's a fair bit of boozy kick on the back-end too. Nicely made.
