Bottle. Love this beer. Dark, almost black. Nice head, goes away quickly. Nice lace. Sweet malty aroma. Wonderful flavor, caramel, toast.

12 ounce bottle. Clear, mahogany brown color. Small creamy beige head. Clings to the glass. Nice, tannic, roasted malt aroma hints at chocolate and burnt wood. Flavor is roasted malt, caramel and cedar. Subtle hints of coffee and brown sugar, as well. Smooth and flavorful.

Light roast, a lot of toffee. Black pour with big mocha head. Light bitter finish. Lots of sweetness in here. Don't love the malt profile either. Bottle.

Light caramel aroma. Roasted malt in the flavor, combined with caramel and a touch of chocolate. Thinnish, but with a pleasant malt character. A Bavarian dark that has had plastic surgery. The result is pleasant, but a bit artificial.

Bottle from the mixed 12 pack from Market Basket. Mostly clear deep brown with a frothy off white head that persists. Rich bready toasty malt with bits of chocolate and caramel. Faint floral hops. Not bad for entry level.

Bottle at home I remember this from seasonal mix pack from back in day well I guess they brought back and in my fall mixer now. Black pour small head. Nose is root beer and chocolate. Tastes of cocoa, earthy, root beer, little plastic, fig. Smoothbslight bitter.
