Pouring a hazy, orange juice-colored golden yellow, Trailside is a fine-tuned take on the classic citrus-meets-tropical Trillium profile. Keeping an eye toward new possibilities with Strata, while retaining the core elements of what works best in Citra, the aroma is a stunning display of smile-inducing hop saturation. Fresh-peeled clementine, tangelo, and candied Meyer lemon notes are complemented by overripe pineapple, mango nectar, and fuzzy peach. Its juice-forward, no doubt; but an underlying ruby red grapefruit bitterness keeps us reaching back for more. Characteristically soft and palate-coating, we hope you enjoy Trailside while exploring the beauty of Blue Hills and beyond.

Hazy pale yellow colour l, medium sized dense ecru-ish white head; aroma of pineapple, mango, some guava, tangerine and oatmeal notes; taste of hoppy bitterness with the same notes as can be felt in the aroma and some spicy-celery aftertaste; correct one

Can from the Packie
Pours a murky dirty yellow color with a huge bubbly white head that persists. Citrus tropical and stone fruit with bits of earthy bready flavors and yes gritty textures. Nice brew.

CD: 11/01/2024, just over 3 months old. Pours a turbid yellow golden body and a fluffy white head with good retention. Aroma's: from the can it's dank and resinous, doughy. From the glass the fruit comes out: soft tropical fruit but also some sour fruit, not necessarily citrus. Retronasal it's resinous, dank, sweet and sour fruit. Flavour is moderate bitter and light sweet. Long, fairly bitter finish, chalky feel on the teeth.

Draft pour enjoyed at Chuck's Hop Shop, Seward Park. What a fitting beer for my activities today. More than 30 miles in on foot on the trail, let's enjoy some DDH Trillium before continuing. Juicy golden haze. Patchy head. Slightly sweet mango like aroma. Flavor is a nice array of hops, some juicy, some even spicy? Green pepper note. Bold flavors that keep this palate dense and interesting. Mango, pepper, and stone fruit. Am I supposed to be getting pepper here? I'm all for it. Just confirmed, they poured me the correct beer. Nice.

Can. A mild to medium haze on this orange gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate starts smooth and semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation sharpens things up. Thin pale malts, still deliver adequate creamy sweetness. Hops bring crisp pine into good tropical fruits and citrus. Mango and orange, touch of passion fruit if you are looking for it. Light smooth semi dry finish brings a mild hop spice and a touch of savoury skunk. Nice IPA. Is it special? Well, 8 or 9 years ago this would have really stood out. But now, there are many more very good UK breweries, so no, Trillium don't stand out like they used to, they haven't got worse, just so many others have got a lot better. Still, this IPA has a certain elegance that marks Trillium at work.
