Günzburger Weizenbier - Weizenbock, Flasche (MHD: 22.09.22) von Getränke Appel, Moosburg, 2 Monate daheim gelagert. - Goldbraun, gut trüb; mehr als die Hälfte des Glases ist mit Schaum angefüllt. - In der Nase feines, zart toastiges Weizenmalz, frisches Brot, feine Hefe, reife Aprikose, ein Hauch von Zimt und frische, leicht herbale und fein orangenfruchtige Hopfung. - Antrunk kremig weich und füllig weizenmalzig mit süßer, ganz zart säuerlicher Pflaume, Zimt und Marzipan; Graubrot und zuletzt milde herbale Herbe, gefolgt von wärmender alkoholischer Schwere, leicht likörartig. Vollmundig, dennoch spritzig. Im Abgang milde zitrusfruchtige Hopfenherbe, die aber ausreicht, die nachhallende malzige Wucht schön abzurunden. - Individueller, sehr aromatischer Weizenbock, an dem mich vor allem die originelle Note von Pflaume erfreut hat. Bottle picked up from Appel Getränkemarkt in Moosburg and consumed at home Friday 5th February 2021, listening to Bicep - Isles and cooking Chicken Tikka Masala with all the accompaniments. Pours hazy amber with a white head. Fruity, some ripe fruits, a little banana, easier drinking than anticipated, soft mouthfeel. Good.

500ml Bottle (Thanks Omhper) - Hazy brown in colour. Banana, sultanas and caramel feature prominently in both the aroma and in the taste. A competent weizenbock.

Bottled, from Biershop Bayern. Cloudy brownish amber, mid sized creamy head. Caramelly nose. Mid sweet with medium to full body and well rounded mouthfeel. Caramel and hints of banana. Velvetty finish. Mild and pleasant.

Gift from jbrus. Cinnamon and brown sugar in the aroma. Roasted malt, laurel and a touch of cinnamon in the flavor. medium bodied, just a touch of honey sweetness. Nice one!

(bottle) Cloudy, murky amber colour with a beige and big foamy head. Yeasty, dark malty and wheaty aroma with notes of caramel, dried fruits, as well as hints of cacao and phenolic spices. Moderately sweet and delicately tart flavour, medium bodied with a modest carbonation for a wheat. Wheaty, dark and slightly bready malty base with notes of dried and ripe fruits; spicy accents in the background; moderately sweet and delicately fruity-tart finish with mildly phenolic spices. 50cl bottle. Pours murky dark orange golden colour with a huge good lasting beige head. Aroma of strong malt, riped fruits, some wood? Taste of riped banana, some clove, caramel, some yeast, okay!

500ml bottle. Cloudy, amber colour with huge, fluffy, fairly lasting, off-white head. Intense, fruity, wheaty aroma, notes of pear, apple, banana, baked apple, a touch of clove. Taste is bitter hoppy, sweet-ish fruity, spicy, notes of pear, banana, baked banana, some clove, grassy hoppy overtones with a spicy touch of hay; (slightly too) lively, prickling carbonation, minimally sticky palate.
