Jotkut muistavat myös oluen. Kyllä, Toppilassa pantiin olutta yli sadan vuoden ajan.
Toppilan oluen tarina alkoi vuonna 1865 Isak Wilhelm Fellmanin perustamassa Toppilansalmen Oluttehtaassa. Siitä lähtien Toppilassa pantiin olutta samoissa tiloissa katkotta aina vuoteen 1979 asti. Tuolloin Toppilan Mallasjuomatehdas -nimellä tunnettu panimo keitti viimeisen kattilallisen Toppilan olutta.
Tai näin ainakin luultiin. Nyt Hartwall on kuitenkin herättänyt henkiin palan oululaista oluthistoriaa. Toppila olut on taas oululaisten ja tietenkin muidenkin Oulussa piipahtavien oluen ystävien saatavilla.

From Wiklund Herkku. Smell of malt, paper. Hazy pale golden colour, white head. Aroma of malt, paper, some fruity and bready notes. Soft carbon. Lightly bitter. Halfway decent.

500ml can at home.
Poured almost clear and light golden in color.
Sweet with notes of corn and grain. Slightly odd flavor. Easy.

Can at home, Nivala. Enjoyed straight from the can. Aromas and flavors: Grain, malts.... cant find any helles elements.

On tap at Keltainen Aitta, Oulu. Golden with a small white head. Sweet with vegetables and some paper. Boring.

Delt mad A-L på Bergstua. Stråfarget. Uklat- Middels høyt skum. Lett sitrusaroma. Hint av jordbær. Smaken som aromaen. Lett bitter avslutning.

--Sample, thanks oh6gdx! -- Hazy golden, mid sized head. Fruity nose with some cooked vegetables. Sweet with light body and clean mouthfeel, fizzy carbonation. Fruity with cooked vegetables and water. Metallic finish.

ABV: 5.1%. Clear medium yellow colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, fruity malt, pale malt, light to moderate hoppy, grass, floral. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, sweet malt - cookie, pale malt, floral - grass. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20230305]

Canned (from Prisma Liisanlehto). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is herbal, some earthy mild bready and some grainy tones. Flavour is floral, herbal, some bready, grainy and mild earthy tones.
