Bottle, 10.1%. Aroma of brown sugar and a whiff of vanilla. Clear deep brown colour with a red shine. Fizzy unstable tan head. The flavour is sweet and peppery. Hint of metallic sweetness. Malt syrup notes. Dry liquorice. Fizzy carbonation.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an opaque, reddish brown with a beige head. Odd cheesyness to the nose, that I'm not happy with. But also molasses, dark, dried fruits and Belgian yeast. Rich, sweet body, again overripe fruits and molasse, but with an odd tartness to it. Warming alcohol finish. 160323

--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Copper black, mid sized head. Aroma of dark fruit, marzipan and hay. Sweet with full body and dense, rounded mouthfeel. Licorice, brandy, marzipan and bready malt. Peppery mid bitter finish. Intense and complex.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Deep rubyish copper colour with a small off-white beige head. Aroma is dried fruits, alcohol, some spiciness and mild toffee with a bit more alcohol. Flavour is dried fruits, some spiciness, a bit spicy wooden tones with some slight yeasty and alcohol tones.

ABV: 10.1%. Clear medium to dark amber colour with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to light light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, dried fruit, moderate yeasty, fruity yeast, sweet yeast, candy, alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a long duration, dried fruit, candied fruit, fruity yeast, caramel, sweet yeast - candy, phenol - alcohol, barrel - oak. Body is medium, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20230121]
