Swing top bottle. Orange color. Cookie caramel aroma. Malty sweet flavor with caramel, cookie dough, butterscotch. Nutty bitter aftertaste with a hint of butter. A grassy hopbitterness lingering on in the aftertaste. Bock with a typical Franconian character.

Sweetish floral beginning. The beer is fresh and malty, slightly sweetish, not too bitter with herbal malty hints in the mainpart. Fresh, smooth, caramel. A bit sharp bitter in the end, soft and easy to drink but not too deep.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkel goldgelbes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig, würzig, grasig, leicht alkoholisch. Geschmack sehr malzig, würzig, leicht süß alkoholisch.

500ml bottle. Cloudy dark golden colour with average to huge, firm, frothy, moderately lacing, white head. Malty and slightly grainy aroma, minimally dry hoppy overtones. Taste is pale malty and slightly grainy, moderately dry hoppy overtones. Relatively light body and low sweetness for a Bock.

500 ml swingtop from West Lakeview Liquors in Chicago. Pours very hazy amber with a foamy off-white head. Aromas of light to medium fruit (stone not citrus) over mild roast caramel. Med body. It is quite fruity - even has a touch of concord grape - but it guickly moves to a little raisin. It’s a bit earthy/musty, and ends up rather dry and astringent - somewhat bitter finish. Very nice.

Hellmalzig würziger Antrunk mit erkennbarer Alkoholnote, die hopfig-bitter aber nicht störend ist. So liegt der Hopfen im Mittelteil vorne, nicht aber ohne die angenehmen Gewürznoten aufzuweisen. Anschließend wird die Bitterkeit stärker, es entsteht ein sehr hopfiges Bier, dessen Bockaromen dem Hopfen meistens unterliegen. Leider zwischenzeitlich muffig. Ein gelungenes Getränk für Hopfenliebhaber. 13/9/9/9/5/9

50cl bottle from Bierkompass. Poured hazy brown color with a white head. Aroma is quite sweet caramel malty. Flavour is malt, toffee and slightly spicy, also quite bitter towards finish. Alcohol warming. Didn´t give me much.

Bottle at Fanø tasting 2010. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Light malty and hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Moderate bitter average finish. Alcoholic. Oily palate.

Bottle @ Fanø Tasting, July 2010. Purchased @ Brewery. Pours clear golden with a small egg white head. Nose is yeast, grain, alcohol and fruit. Flavor has notes of vegetables. Sweet and raw.
