Bottle from House of Trembling Madness. Pours a deep clear amber-brown with small off-white head. Aroma of roast, damp cardboard, toffee. Taste is sweet with toffee, roast, alcohol, bread, mixed dried fruit. Medium bodied and slightly chewy. It does what it says on the bottle. Its rich with warming malt notes and a minor alcohol kick although not particularly complex. I enjoyed it though!

Aromas are dark malt, toast and a hint of skunk. Flavors are similar to nose, more bitter than a typical brown with some traditional bitter and skunk in the finish. Drinkable but that's it.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours clear copper with a creamy, light khaki head. Light-medium sweet flavour with some toasted malts, a little leafy bitterness, brown bread, nips of dough and dry caramel. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Balanced finish, more toasty malts, hints of toffee, berries, relaxed bitterness. Easy-drinking beer.

Bottle from Tbone_, thanks! Amber color. Tropical fruit and cardemom in the aroma. Spicy, nutty bitter flavor. Sweet, sugary with a sticky mouthfeel. Disappointing.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - deep amber to autumnal red. Off white head. Nose - strawberry, possibly honey and brown bread. Taste - honey, caramel, brown bread. Palate - medium bodied, with a rich middle and a dry finish. Overall - probably should be an ESB in terms of style. Good.
