Bottle re-fermented and naturally gluten free. The latest edition to our range of beers from ancient grains. The dubbel style originated in Belgium, possibly as a “second style” offered for sale by monastic breweries. Green’s Dubbel is the world’s first version of this style produced from ancient grains, all gluten-free ingredients.
In the classic dubbel fashion, a hint of dark-sugar and toffee flavour; and a traditional Belgian yeast bouquet.

500ml bottle from Country Club Liquors; nose of apple, caramel, spices, and a bit of alcohol; clear dark brown with a big beige head; flavor is caramel, spice, and apple; finish is light alcohol warmth; the apple flavor seems to fade as you go down the bottle; if I had to drink gluten free, this isn’t ALL that bad.

Bottle, 6%. Roasted, vinous raisin aroma. Seemingly clear dark brown colour, red shine. Vinous raisin flavour, quite sweet, not bad. A bit like Gluehwein. Best glutenfree until now.

(Bottle 33 cl) Slightly hazy, dark amber golden with a small, beige head. Odd herbal and medicinal aroma - perhaps a little cough syrup. Medium-bodied with sweetish, roasted malt and notes of dried fruits. No bitterness. 120108

Bottled. A deep red beer with a medium tan head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and alcohol, as well as a touch of spices, leading to a dry bitter finish.

33 cL bottle. Pours dark brown, hazy, and with a light orange hue. Has a fully diminished off-white head. Dark chocolate aroma, light roasted. Flavour is sweet, slight chemical note. Lingering chocolate note into the finish. Mild chocolate finish too.7-3-6-3-14=3.3

Bottle. Rich dark fruits and malty aroma. Dark mahogany color with a vigorous tan head. Near medium body with a moderate carbonation. The flavor is dark cherry fruit. Notes of pineapple? The whole aspect is light dark fruit, but this is a dubbel? Very pleasant. The finish is the same as the start. Most excellent. Vanilla notes seem to erupt at the very finish. Can’t avoid cherry. It’s a really good drink.

Bottled (BB 06/2009)
Ruby color, mostly vanishing off-white head. Sticky berry-like (red currant) nose. Strange berry-like flavor. Crisp carbonation, alcohol pushing through strawberry and red currant flavors. Odd.
