50 cL bottle, batch 241. Pours dark brown with a light brown and lacing head. Aroma is roasted, caramel sweet malty. Bread like flavour with hoppy citric fruityness. Softness provided by the chocolate malt which can be made out just before the finish. Dry malty finish with some bitterness. Good brew, but clearly lacks some body.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a huge brown head. The aroma is sweet with light notes of chocolate, straw, tobacco, and dusty hops. The flavor is lightly sweet, due to the low ABV character, with dry notes of straw, roasted malt, chocolate, tobacco, and some spices. Leading to a very dry roasted end. No wonder the body is on the light side. Nice low ABV beer.

Draft. A hazy red-brown beer - with no head, due to very low carbonation. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, fruits, and prunes. The flavor is sweet with primary notes of caramel, but also light notes of chocolate and sulphur, and the body is thin.

(Draught at Plan B, Copenhagen, 19 May 2007) Brown colour with brief, foamy, beige head. Malty nose with notes of chocolate, toffee and brownish hints of mire. Malty, slightly muddy (fresh mud!) taste with notes of chocolate, roasted rye and toffee. Light body (or rather thin). The beer looks like muddy water and it actually has a kind of fresh taste of muddy water as well. Sounds scarry? In a strange way it’s actually rather nice. Different, but hardly groundbreaking.

Rating 700: Tap at Lord Nelson: Hazy brown with off white head - practically none. Flat body - low carbonation. Light malty notes - caramel & dark fruits. Short end! This one could Ølfabrikken be without!

Hazy red-brown, with a big, frothy off-white head. Fruity aroma - tropical fruits, peach, caramel and nuts. Very pleasant and light. Slightly (lemon-like) acidic, dry flavour with a fruity sweetness and both hops and roast malt present. Gets credit for elegantly feeling like a lot more than 2.9% alcohol.

(Bottle 50 cl) Slightly hazy orangey brown with a dense, creamy, beige head leaving laces. Malty, rye breadish aroma. Light body with hard roasted malt accents, but they’re not exactly burned in spite of a vague ashy edge in the after taste. Dry and lightly hoppy finish. Neat. 020207
