Can. As Faxe Red. Clear red color with a quickly-dissipating pinkish white head. Metallic and somewhat grainy industrial lager aroma with some artificial fruit (berries) juice and a faint hoppy hint. Sweetish grainy flavor with a weird sour-bitter metallic edge and hints of artificial fruitiness. Light-bodied. Pretty bad.

Can, as "Faxe Red", small bubblegum pink head, clear deepish red colour, light malty aroma with some skunky, fruity malty flavour with some coarse bitterness. Strange, i dont really know what to make of this brew, no noticable fruit trait.

Originally rated October 2007. Second red brew tonight (purchased under the name Faxe Red in a can), comparing it to the Lakeport Red. This one pours a lighter copper-red-caramel colour with tiny bubble, very light carbonation. The foamy head is pink-white in colour and stays a while. Patchy lacing runs around the glass. Nice mild malty nose and sticky mouthfeel, but not too much. Good grain malt taste with a little mix of hop and metallic flavour, but again, not to ruin anything. The berries talked about in the description are quite well hidden, so no, this is not a fruity beer, but a nice red lager. A good alternative to boring swills.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Red amber beer. Light and fruity and lacking bitterness. More fruity than most lagers and that sets it aside. Okay.

Biggish pink coarseish head. Light red body. Artificial strawberry aroma with strawy notes. Dry earthy musty strawy taste with artificial strawberry notes. Mid-bodied. Mild mouthfeel. Dryish watery strawy strawberry aftertaste with mealy notes. Possible to drink this, I suppose, but it’s not good. (0.33l can, Super Spar, Vejby Strand.)
