17/I/26 - 75cl bottle, shared @ Tilquin brewery, BB: n/a, 21|22 vintage Coin Tilquin draft version (2026-50)
Little cloudy blond beige beer, small creamy irregular white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: very nice, brett, peppery, fruity, dusty, a little funky. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: nice, very good, fruity, dry, bitter touch, woody, some tannins. Aftertaste: a bit sourish, dry, funky, woody, pleasant acidity, peppery, a bit lemony, fruity, quince, pleasant stuff, really nice!

On tap at Meddlesome Moth, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out crisp apple/pear skins and gentle funk. Flavour is tart and tangy, with plenty of quince and subdued funk. The funk is buried, I guess drowned out by the quince. But the complexity isn�t as impressive here. Seems a bit lacking for Tilquin, while still being a solid sour.

(21 - 22 series version on tap @ Griendel, Quebec City, Sep 29/22) Pours lightly hazy straw gold with a small white head. Aroma is spicy tree fruit, apple and pear with woody accents, light funk. Flavour is lightly acidic, lemon/grapefruit and spicy tree fruit, soft sulphur funk, a little lactic lemon, softly woody drying finish. Light bodied, a bit thin carb. Interesting quality to this one because of the quince, which I think made it both more aromatic and more interesting than the apple and pear variants. Nice spiced quality. Would definitely try more quince lambic when I have the chance.

Draft at Foeders. Light golden. Funky, quince, wheat, soft sulphur, lemon. A bit sharp but very nice.

Tap @ Muted Horn. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are lactose acid, funk, stable, malt and fruits. Nice sour finish.
