“Immortal Rites” is a DDH West Coast IPA coming at you at 7.2% ABV. Citra, Centennial and Amarillo reproduce the piney aromas emanating from deep inside an enchanted forest. Herbal and bitter flavors lash out like the flames from burning herbs, used by the warlock of a pagan tribe as he summons the apparitions wandering this domain. A crisp, revitalizing body smoothens the bitterness and ties together this libation of primeval sorcery. Part of our “Sacred and Prophane” Series, we follow a pagan tribe that is driven out of their lands from a pious Kingdom’s ever-growing, greedy grasp. Seeking cover in the secluded woodlands from where they originated, they unite with the mythical spectres residing there to reclaim what is theirs.

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Citrussy hop aroma with some pine, light grapefruit, tropical notes, citrus, hint of pineapple. Medium bitter, lightly sweet. Another nice bitter piney fruity IPA from this fine brewery.

--Sample, thanks oh6gdx! -- Hazy golden, small head. Aroma of lychee and pineapple. Sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Fruity with nectarine and mango, some syrup. Low bitterness.

Can, medium stable creamy frothy head, cloudy orange colour with yellow hues, citrus herbs and pine, medium empathic shrubby bitterness. Really nice example of the style.

Can (from Zinc Craftbar, Vaasa). Hazy yellow colour, small white foamy head. Aroma is floral, fruity, nectary and some mild biscuity and sweet malty tones. Flavour is fruity, floral, nectary and some biscuity and caramelly tones to it.

Hefiger, weich hopfiger Beginn. Ansteigende Herbe von geringem Level aus, geringe Süße mit moderater, ebenfalls ansteigender Intensität. Süffig, kernig getreidig, leicht harzig, langer würziger Abgang. Gut. 11/10/11/11/12/11

Can at Savino Rock Bar. Med-thin body, rather dryish, medium carbonation. Med-high bitterness, a bit of grassy edge. Low sweetness, background malt. Moderate zesty, grassy, piney hops character, a bit citrusy. Good, but not great, a bit of phenolic yeasty weirdness.

Canned, 440 ml at the Wooden Pub. Cloudy golden with white head. Hoppy, citrus, some grapefruit, bit resinous, nice bitterness. Medium bodied.
