At BBP, we've been passionate about regenerative agriculture and eco-friendly farming practices since 2018. Last year, we sourced 5% of our barley locally from regenerative farms, and we're committed to increasing that to 25% by the end of 2023, with a target of 75% within the next two years.
To support this ambition, we're launching TERRA PILS, the very first pils in Belgium sourced with 100% of regenerative ingredients!

BBP's new Pilsener, brewed with barley coming from regenerative farming (and in that sense a first in Belgium); at De Geus van Gent, cheers David! Creamy and dense, snow white, membrane-lacing, moussy, firm head on a misty straw-yellow blonde robe. Aroma of freshly cut grass, raw cereals, moist white pepper, dry hay, flour, white bread, raw turnip, minerals. Crisp, dryish onset, sharply to even painfully numbing carbonation with very strong minerally effects, smooth white-bready and cereally maltiness with even a light bread crust effect - clearly this regenerative barley is meant to shine here. Some flour-like powderiness in the end along with a 'fresh' grassy hoppiness, even moving to bitter weeds, establishing a long, dry finish. Very correct and technically well-executed (northern) German-ish Pilsener, reminiscent of e.g. Dok's 13 or Senne's Zenne Pils; too bad it came overcarbonated, though, which detracts a bit from the actual flavour.

Keg at their Baili taproom, Brussels. Pretty standard pilsner to be fair. Generous on the hopping. Classic BBP yeast. Quite plain.

Sample draft @ BBP Bailli.
