Tap at Brauerei Eck, in the company of Fin and Loz. Clear dark chestnut. Metallic, dusty, bread. Full, chewy, little bit sour. Good drinkability.

Backlog May 2011. Reddish amber body under a light off-white head. Aroma has mild roasted malt with a hint of smoke. Taste is light roasted malt, mild caramel, some fruit and otherwise rather light impression. Medium body with a bit short aftertaste. Easy going beer.

Bottle 0,33 ltr: Dark brown coloured brew with an fine dry bitter taste. Hints of roasted malts, caramel, very faint banana and something like berry juice. Very enjoyable Dunkel.

Bottle, thanks Fin&Loz! Light hazy red chestnut, tan cream. Spicy roast and fresh grassy hops in the nose. Rather dry to sour body, sourdough flavor, extracted roast. Something went wrong with this one.

Bottle picked up from the brewery and consumed at home Friday 10th March 2023 listening to Steve Lamaq on 6Music on a fiercely windy night. Pours reddish brown with a haze, looks good, off white head. Nice soft mouthfeel. A little tangy fruity edge, I'm thinking toffee and caramel, not blowing me away but then this is a style that rarely does.

Dark brown color, a bit cloudy. Chocolate aroma. Sweet chocolate flavor. Malty, medium bodied. Cacao aftertaste with some distant bitterness. Not too complex dunkel with a great taste. A second bottle, shared at an informal Dutch Ratebeer meeting seemed infected. The rating is for the fresh bottle.

Tap at a fest in Austria. Dark caramel cloudy pour, minimal lacing not much retention. Nose: cola, a hint of burnt caramel. Mouth: a bit thin, roast caramel.
