Bottle 500ml. @ home on the terrace.Clear medium to dark amber colour with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, bread, caramel, molasses, mash. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, bread, malty, berry sweet. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light metalic. [20110506]

Bottle @ Na Sumave, Prague. Pours clear amber with a small creamy white head. Nose is sweet. Grain, caramel and bread. Smooth palate. Flavor is bread and caramel. Medium bodied. Good.

Bottle (@ Pöschl-Stuben, Bayerisch Eisenstein): Chestnut-amber coloured, mid-sized, loose off-white head, moderate caramelly/dark-malty nose with traces of milk-coffee; sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium-bodied, soft MF; moderate sweetish-caramelly fionish with a bitter counterweight and traces of coffee. A pleasant, well made Dunkel.....

on tap at the brewery restaurant. Large fluffy head, dark brown colour. Nose: roasted malt. Beginning with flavours of roasted malt, slightly sweet. The middle part is more hoppy, but still dominated by roasted malt, as is the finish.

Hazy brown color, short off-white head. Aroma is lactic, bit malty. Tastes like sour milk. This bottle was probably infected.
