Didn't say anything about port barrels or collab on the menu, but was Gorm at 10.8%. Medium amber-brown. Thin head. Quite sweet, both bubblegum and plastic phenols in there. Boozy. Malt character is ok, some sultana and fig but otherwise the ferm kicks off way too many phenols. Feels like some upside was left on the table here, with a clunky fermentation.

Tap @ Borefts. Amber color. Toffee and old wood in the aroma. Full bodied. Malty sweet flavor with dried fruit, wet wood, earthy notes and toffee. The port flavor is not very well noticeable.

On tap at Borefts Beer Festival. De Molen Brewery, Bodegraven, Netherlands, Friday 21st September 2018. A sunshine and heavy showers sort of day. Pours a murky brown colour, a touch heavy and plodding, mmhh... its absolutely fine and at times I quite enjoy it but there are also times when I feel that it's not doing much for me. Borefts X. I'm ten for ten! Day 1. Keg. Clear deep amber beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth sweetish malts, a little creamy sweetness. Lovely Port barreling here. Mild wood. Good ripe fruits and red berries. Smooth finish. Lovely balance of sweet malts and Port barrel. Barleywines and Port barrels are natural bed fellows.
