Crown ale is a 3.8% sessionable pale ale. Very light in colour with gentle malty notes and a subtle sweetness. The two British hops, Sovereign and Olicana, give nice floral and spice character with hints of passionfruit. The generous bitterness balances the beer perfectly making it very moreish. All topped off with a fine white crown head.

Cask at Head of Steam, Durham. Clear golden colour, white foam head and aroma of fruits, citric. Taste is malt, biscuit, mashy, fruity with citric bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry mashy bitter finish. OK.
