Tetley's Cask is an amber cask ale, which has roasted caramel bittersweetness balanced with distinctly aromatic smooth hoppy flavours and a lingering dry bitter finish.

Fair to say I drank gallons of this stuff in my youth - but not sure it is anything like the beer it was back then. Looks lovely, clear and amber with a creamy white head and a grainy, fruity aroma. Light malt and light fruit combine nicely in the flavour, with a floral hop bitterness always there, but it's thinner than I recall and the flavours are not as well-balanced as before

Can called 'Smooth Ale' @ 3.6%. Pours with nitro widget, once settled is amber with a solid chuck of creamy foam on top; looks decent. No big aroma but has sweetness, caramel, toasty malts; fine Taste is the same, pleasant enough, but quite watery in flavour. Little bitterness; could be better Once you can drink through the foam, the body is light but smooth with little carbonation; fine If I fancy a smooth session beer I will stick with Guinness Draught.

Can. Sweetish, grainy aroma. Sweetish flavor, fizzy with some caramel. Slight bitter aftertaste. Drinkable, but not worth a retry.

Cask: Dove & Olive Branche, Grasmere. Late summer 2004. Amber color, lasting creamy head. Hoppy seaweed aroma. Sweetish, malty flavor with some butterscotch and still a fair deal of hops. Grassy, seaweed finish. Much better as I expected.

Cask at Travellers Rest, Cockerton as Tetleys Original Cask. Orangey golden colour, white foam head leaving some lacing and sour malty aroma. Taste is mash malty, toffee, grainy with some fruity bitterness. Light bodied, soft carbonation, dry mashy finish. OK

Can. Deep amber in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Caramel aplenty, slightly bready malts, a touch of leafy hop and slightly bitter finish. So so.
