Tetley's was established in 1822, by an ambitious young man called Joshua Tetley. With his experience in the family malting business and the belief in its motto ‘Quality Pays’, Joshua Tetley took advantage of the lack of successful breweries in the North of England, compared to those in London. After nearly two centuries of perfecting the brewing process, the name Tetley’s is synonymous with a smooth, tasty pint created from a perfect combination of traditional and modern brewing techniques. Tetley's range of quality ales is brewed using only the finest quality ingredients to the highest standards to ensure the perfect pint every time.

Tetley's Cask is an amber cask ale, which has roasted caramel bittersweetness balanced with distinctly aromatic smooth hoppy flavours and a lingering dry bitter finish.

44cl can (Smoothflow) from HiperDino, Puerto De La Cruz. Copper coloured with a creamy, off-white nitro head. Malty aroma with caramel and hints of fruits and hops. Quite sweet, but with a pleasant bitterness in the finish. Lightly watery, but easy to drink and quite nice. (2012-12-31)

440 ml tallboy can, thanks to my cousin Stacie and her husband Josh. The pour on this is as dramatic as any widget can, meaning awesome results. Pours slightly hazy copper with a geyser of carbonation forming in the glass, making it look like volcano smoke; has a medium cream-colored creamy looking head that refuses to go away. Aroma is fruity, grassy (like a freshly mown prairie field in the summertime at dusk is what springs to mind, however pretentious that might sound). Taste is lightly sweet and a lot grassy. Carbonation is virtually non-existant, which I expected. These lowly-carbonated beers are still pretty weird for me.

Hand-pulled pints in the Nottingham: a pub in Cleethorpes well known for the quality of their Tetley’s. The three I had on 9th Nov 2012 were in fine form as they always been on my many visits to this lovely old basic boozer. Good looking beer: deep golden colour with a full head of off-white sat proudly on top. This has never been full of aromas and taste: just an honest session ale that has more malts than hops in both the smell and flavour. Biscuity malts and floral hops to exact: satisfying and refreshing. Not as good as it was years ago , but still an easy drinking brew.

Can poured into a shaker. Nothing really special here. Somewhat flat and uninspiring. Cereal grains and some very light hops.

Bardzo słaby i przeciętny bitter, lekko gryzący na języku, zbyt mało gożki nawet jak na bittera. W smaku wodnisty i lurowaty. Piana średnia lecz ulotna.

Draught @ Palaveri, Seinäjoki. Rated on 24.04.2011
Aroma is sourish with some sweet caramel and toffee notes. Flavour is also somewhat sour with caramel, toffee and some British hops. Probably a bad keg.
