Tarede Vaikus is a Baltic Porter that’s fermented with bottom fermentation yeast. A malty beer with a slightly smoky and moderately roasty taste. Behind them, you can feel a bit of berry and stone fruit (plum) taste. With its 7.9% strength, the taste of alcohol is only slightly noticeable.

Can via Uba Ja Humal. Medium body, med-low carbonation. Medium roasty bitterness, medium sweetness. Maltiness is rather dry, coffeeish, with also light acrid burnt quality, which is not the most pleasant. Med-light dried fruits. Slightly off phenolic peaty/medicinal. Overall seems rather simplistic in all respects, even brewing techniques utilised. Not great, not terrible.

Draught@Purtse taproom, Tallinn. Close to black colour, small off-white head. Aroma is roasted malts, some smoked wet wood with mild earth. Flavour is roasted, chocolate and some mild smoked tones. Chocolaty and roasted aftertaste.

Tap at Purtse Tap Room. Dark ruby colour, tiny beige head. Coffee, toasted malts in the nose. Light-bodied. Some toastyness, sweet malts, touch of chocolate. Ok.

Õlle on selline jook, et iga uus kord kui klaasi või pudeli suule tõstad, siis leiad midagi uut, sõltuvalt tuhandest-miljonist pisiasjast, mis hetke olukorda mõjutavad. Seega piirdun iga õlle juures selle tekstiga.

33cl can from Rimi Supermarket, Tallinn. Dark, dark mahogany coloured body with a fast dissipating head. Roasty and malty with notes of dark, dried fruits. Medium sweet with medium flavour intensity and body on the lighter side. Quite drinkable.
