Clear amber with a medium beige head. Aroma had roasted malt, caramel and grassy hops. Sweet flavour with roasted malt, caramel and grassy hops. Finished dry.

Bottled. A nut-brown beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of nuts, metal, and a bit of caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of nuts, metal, caramel, malt, and bread, leading to a dry bready finish.

50 cL bottle, courtesy of Papsoe. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is mild breadish and light grassy hoppy. Roasted malty and light cornish flavoured. Bitter and dry finish. Subdued on the malt flavours.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear orangey brown with an off-white head. Medium body, roasted malt and a little burned caramel, a whiff of metal. Subdued bitterness. Solid and well crafted. 010510

Bottle 50cl. @ home.Clear light to medium brown color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, toffee, butter, moderate caramel, light notes of brown sugar. Flavor is moderate candy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium to light, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20090712]

Bottle from Treffpunkt, Nurnberg railway station. Dark amber colour with a slight head. Aroma of dough with some malt sweetness. Flavour was malty with some herbal hoppiness in the finish. Pleasant.

Bottle: Deep amber coloured, smaller fluffy and lacing off-white head; sweet-malty, but also a bit doughy/sourish aroma; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; faint bitter-sweet, a bit metallic finish. Not really pleasant......

(bottle) Clear, dark brown colour with a small, slightly off-white foamy head. Moderately sweet, slightly roasted malty aroma with a touch of sour dough, dark bread and shy herbal hops. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a medium carbonation. Toast-malty, slightly roasted taste with dark bread; sweet-bitter, slightly metallic finish. Quite average Dunkel.

Very creamy, pinkish-yellow head; dark-amberred beer. Leafy, herb, bit bready but quite restrained, chestnut flour and chestnut wood. Quite dry-leafy, nearly no sweetness. In the aftertaste a little woody bitterness. Nearly medium bodied, light impression but pleasing. Excellent dark Vollbier, amongst the best even from the bottle. Sorry, Edo we agree to disagree.
