Bottled. A nut-brown beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of nuts, metal, and a bit of caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of nuts, metal, caramel, malt, and bread, leading to a dry bready finish.

Very creamy, pinkish-yellow head; dark-amberred beer. Leafy, herb, bit bready but quite restrained, chestnut flour and chestnut wood. Quite dry-leafy, nearly no sweetness. In the aftertaste a little woody bitterness. Nearly medium bodied, light impression but pleasing. Excellent dark Vollbier, amongst the best even from the bottle. Sorry, Edo we agree to disagree.
