Can 44 cl. Pours an opaque deep brown with an orange hue and a tiny, rough beige head. Intense whisky aroma, somewhat ashy but also with sweet licorice and ashy roast. Solid body, lowish carbonation. Ashy roastiness, quite some tannins and a warming alcohol finish. A little crude and unsophisticated. 190923

Can. Waiting for the rain to clear on day 25 of The Ashes. Black with a coat of tan head. Aroma of whisky, the sea, roast, caramel. Some blackberries upon a taste and perhaps some coffee too. Not all that much body. Warm but no overt booze. Smoke is there but is understated until right at the end. Dunno if this is really a vintage beer but it's a hell of a drop regardless.
