This imperial hop collision fuses West Coast and Juicy IPAs, unleashing atomic flavors of lush fruit, citrus, and sticky pine.
First released as a DIPA, we kicked Atomic Torpedo up from 8.2% to 9.2% ABV for bigger and bolder Imperial IPA intensity. Brace your taste buds: Damn the Torpedoes, Full Hops Ahead!

I have an impressive looking 19.2 oz can that was born on 11/1/22. Time to see if the contents match the presence. Pour into a shaker glass and I determine a mostly clear, dark gold liquid topped with a decent head of parchment tan foam. Some lacing going on here, nice to see also. The beer has the attractive initial smell of hops along with pine and perhaps a bit of mango. I take a drink and get the hops again, cedar, citrus, grapefruit to a small degree, malt and just enough tropical to register. Mostly an old school IPA, I thank the brewery for their indulgence.

Fairly deep and dark apricot and light amber in colour with a thinnish, pretty quick dying off-white head, but mostly clear, only about ten per cent opaque. Aroma of deep crisp grapefruit, resinous, dank and super bitter hops with some deep biscuity malts, a bunch of alcohol in the nose, no sugars at all and a bit extra grapefruit peel here for additional bitterness. Medium-bodied; Strong and rich grapefruit and dank resinous notes from the hops dominate with a lot of bitterness, but a pretty strong malt body is pretty balanced, again with no real sweetness and only the bitterness to fall back on at the end. Aftertaste shows the rich grapefruit, pine, dank and resinous dryness with some malts here as well, but the pine and fresh grassy notes are the only real deviations from the grapefruit bitterness here. Overall, a nice and very robust, extremely bitter Imperial IPA with grapefruit, pine and resinous flavours like the older school West Coast IPAs from the Mid-2000s, if you are a fan of those like I am, then this one will be nice for you! I sampled this 19.2 ounce (TALL) can, purchased earlier in the day from Tamura's Fine Wine in Kihei (town), Maui, Hawai`i on 08-April-2023 for US$2,99 sampled in my condo here in Wailea, Maui, Hawai`i a few hours later on 08-April-2023.

568ml can. Pours orange/amber gold, medium transparent, with a nice head of white foam, medium grained. Aroma is characterized by piney and resinous feelings. Body and carbonation are average. A little stickiness, actually more related to the intense presence of essential oils from dry hopping. Taste is intensely bitter, with a little sweetness behind. Final is average.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Deep amber colour with a mediumsized white foamy head. Aroma is floral, herbal, grassy and mild bready tones with some slight grains and earth. Flavour is sweet fruits, alcohol, some mild peachy and grainy tones with mild bread and a nice bitter nectary kick in the finish.

From the local corner shop by my brother. Not sure what a juicy WCIPA is, but it does fit that bill. Juicy tropical hops balanced with some caramel malt notes and piney undertones. Finish could be a bit more bitter
