Near clear gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Light palate, smooth until some decent fine minerally carbonation comes through on the back end. Light smooth clean malts, a nice light sweetness. Smooth cooling pine. Lovely light hoppy fruits, slightly resinous into slightly floral fruits, quite a broad spectrum of hop fruits, slightly fruit pastilles! The lightest touch of hop spice on the finish. What a delight. Clean as a whistle and a wonderful diversion from the yeasty bastards that assail us from all directions these days. Okay, many of them are really rather good, okay? But this is still a nice change and rather a nice beer eh what? --- Beer merged from original tick of Atomic Torpedo on 21 Sep 2022 at 23:01 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7.5. Can from Drankenhandel and supped in my Leiden hotel room. Almost clear gold beer, good bubbly cream colour head. Light palate, semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Light malts, a trace of creamy sweetness. A forensic amount of grain. Fairly bright and juicy pine. The West Coast tropes are all here, ripe citrus, citrus peel, some marmalade. This one raises it's head above the morass by delivering bright pine and a little bright grapefruit. These minor variations can make a lot of difference to me as I am bored to death by this narrow style.

19.2 oz. can, pours a clear amber golden with a medium off-white head. Nose is full of sticky resinous hops, some pine, a touch of juicy stone fruits, and big caramel malt backbone. Flavour is rich, assertive, and balanced, with a forceful resinous and piney hop character, gentle fruitiness, and a perfectly situated caramel malt backbone. Never too malty or sweet despite this one having plenty of malts; yet it is the resinous hops in old school WC fashion that shine. Excellent.

Can, clear pale. Nose is sweet hoppy flowers perfume. Very bitter commencement. Whew, quite an impression. Terribly on style. Mouth coating. Kick my ass. Warming sensations. Really nasty Nellie stuff. Ruined my taste buds for an hour. At least it had some discernable carbonation in there. Somebody give me a cold cheap pale macro lager for a chaser.

Can @ home. Slightly unclear golden body under a big, nicely lacing white head. Aroma has distinct malt, citric hops, some resin and marmalade. Taste is sweet and fruity with malt, citric fruit, marmalade, resin, pine and balanced bitterness. Fine body with long lasting bitter aftertaste. Lovely, classic imp stout for true beer lovers.

568 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 9.2%. Clear deep golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of malts, toffee, caramel, orange marmalade. The flavour has citrus, caramel and toffee, and a decent hoppy and piney bitterness throughout. --- Beer merged from original tick of Atomic Torpedo on 08 Jul 2022 at 21:19 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 7 | Overall - 7.5. Original review text: 568 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8.2%. Clear deep golden colour, large to moderate white head. Aroma of malts, grain and orange marmalade. Soft mouthfeel, easy drinking for its strength. Hoppy flavour on a sufficient malty base, but not very sweet. Hints of Seville oranges, grapefruit and pine. Dangerously drinkable.
