50 cl bottle at SMÖF 2015, October 24.Had it down as "Brauerei Fischer Greuth" from the label, "Fischer Rauchbier" from the festival listing.Clear dark brown color, teal head. Malty, smoke scent. Maltym smoked taste. Smoked aftertaste. Medium mouhtfeel, medium bitterness.

Bottle bought @ Landbierparadies. Pours hazy dark reddish brown with a frothy and creamy beige head that leaves some sparse lacing and trace on the glass. Smell is malty and smokey with sweet dark bread, caramel, biscuits, smoked ham, hay, moist soil, sweet liquorice candy and hints of burnt wood. Taste is sweet, tiny bitter, malty and smokey. Mouthfeel is soft, round and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and tiny bitter with sweet dark bread, caramel, smoked ham, peat, hay and moist soil. Nicely balanced with pleasant sweetness, soft bready malts and prominent but not harsh smoke character. Enjoyable! --- Beer merged from original tick of Rauchbier on 12 Sep 2015 at 22:25 - Score: 7. Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty buttery caramel smoky aroma. Sweetish malty buttery smoky flavor. Has a fruity malty smoky finish.

Bottle. Aroma caramel, plums, rather light rauch. Clear brown colour. Taste is malt centered, rich caramel, moderate smoke. Rather light bodied, higher carbonation. Good beer.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkelbraunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch angenehm rauchig, malzig, Karamell. Geschmack leicht rauchig, röstmalzig, würzig.

Bottle from Landbierparadies shop, Nürnberg. - Deep mahagony with creamy beige head. Caramel and smoke aroma. Dark malt with mild sweetness, light smoke with a hint of salt. Slight fruit notes (orange peel). Soft carbonation. Quite dry; medium-bodied, almost thin. Light bitterness and only minimal hops in the end. - A mild, restrained, even elegant smoked beer with more smoke aroma than smoke flavour. Quaffable but a bit thin.
Wiederholung: vom Faß in der "Hütt’n", Nürnberg, 21.6.2014. - Rotbraun mit schön goldbraunem Ton. - In der Nase milde Rauchnoten über warmem Karamel und dunklem Malz. - Antrunk sahnig karamel-nussig mit dezenten Raucharomen. Mild rezent, vollmundig. Im Abgang mild fruchtig-herber Aromahopfen. Leicht herber, hopfenwürziger Nachtrunk. - Ein Rauchbier der milderen Sorte, aber mit allerfeinsten Aromen in perfekter Balance und sehr süffig. Vom Faß deutlich besser als aus der Flasche. Meine Bewertung gilt für das Faßbier.

On tap at the keller. Light smoke but good white pepper hop on the finish. Yes very light smoke that builds with the hop. Seriously different and good. Good beer.

Dark amber pour with an averaged sized off white head. Smoky, some meatiness, caramel and some earth.

Had this at Hutt’N Nuremberg, Germany, Tuesday 5th June 2012 Chestnut in colour, clear and with an off-white head. Smooth and sausagey but perhaps a little more restrained on the sausage front than some of the Bamberg offerings. Smokey on nose and in the mouth, tasty moreish beer, just a little too cold though.
