Draft at the brewpub during the Post Christmas Bamberg Jolly - January 2014. Pours deep brown with a foamy, light tan head. Rich and hearty, good smoke, ham, toasted caramel. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish, mild warmth, some dark fruits, lingering smoke. Nice one.

Tap in brewpub, small glass. Dark brown color, very cloudy. Orange and yeast in the aroma, mint. Not a sign of alcohol. Medium bodied, malty. I was not impressed and didn’t finish my glass.

Tap @ Brewpub. Pours amber copper with a White Off head. Syrup, intense alcohol - soothing and actually burning, and Dark dried fruit. Wauw. Extremely poor craftmansship!

8/10/11/11//10

On tap at the Ambräusianum: Reddish to deep amber coloured; odd fruity (strawberries !) and slightly malty nose; very fruity taste, quite full bodied and quite sweet; sticky, sweet finish. A real weak beer by Bamberg’s standards...............
