Flaska från Bierothek. Klar mörkt gyllenfärgad vätska med lågt krämigt skum. Stor kropp, söt och kladdig med tydlig a vetebocksvibbar. Choklad, kladdig vetekrans, marsipan, russin, dadlar, övermogen sharonfrukter, mjuk pepparkaka, söt tobak och muscovadosocker. Riktigt trevligt vinteröl. Mycket gott

pours a nice looking deep red to light brown, still parially transparent. About one finger of head, the slightest off-white; decent retention, no lacing. Nicely deep aroma, with good enough intensity: a malty base with nutty, chocolate and lighter dark bread notes, followed by intense dried/red to dark fruit notes, plus maybe a slight hint of spiciness. Taste notes more or less follow the aroma, though with more malty prominence (overall a nice layer of malt complexity) and less fruitiness, plus a licorice note. Finish is pretty dry with light earthy notes and an almost tannic aftertaste; finish and aftertaste feel maybe a bit off the path if compared to a mostly sweet mouth, not sure if i like the maybe excessive contrast. Medium or slightly above medium bodied with low to medium carbonation; overall a rather easygoing mouthfeel for the abv, with a bit of creamy touch to it.

500ml bottle. Clear, chestnut colour with ruby shimmer and average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, sulphureous head. Slightly toasty and nutty, dark and caramel malty aroma, hints of malt lozenge, a touch of Brazil nut, bitter, roasty overtones, whiffs of ammonia. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel and dark malty, slightly bitter roasty, slightly bitter hoppy, hints of malt lozenge, dark caramel, some grassy hop. Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine and soft carbonation. Not overly rich, rather sweet, light off-flavours - OK.

Schöne Malz-Honig Noten, braucht aber etwas und darf wirklich nicht zu kalt sein. Insgesamt trotzdem noch Luft nach oben.

7,5% on the label. Bottle, bought at De Bierkoning Amsterdam. Malty aroma. Thick, bready, malty flavor. Hints of brown sugar and molasses. Touches of roasted malt. Roasty and earthy bitterness in the aftertaste. Good. Must be even better fresh from tap.

500ml Bottle - Copper red in colour. Raisins, marzipan and leather in the aroma. The taste is surprisingly both rich and flat with raisins, caramel, fennel, leather and some earthy notes standing. It is quite enjoyable but I am not sure if something has gone awry here.

Tap @ Brewery. Pours amber copper with a creamy White head. Nutty and Dark fruity with an underlaying dusty cellar note. Overripe Dark fruit. Dates and raisin. Its 29 december and this is gone. A shame.
