(Bottle, 0.5 l - BB 23.06.2022, as Lederer Pils, from Alko, 20210820) The beer poured pale golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, metal and lightly malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, metal, grain, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was dry, malty and bitter. A bit disappointing grassy brew. Watery.

Bifaller.

Light gold with a fleeting, frothy head. Not much to look at. Aroma of mixed grains. Faint lemony hints. Taste is more enticing than the somewhat lackluster aroma with a nice mix of clean, hoppy bitterness on a sweeter malty backbone. Medium bodied, balanced carbonation. Grew on me.

On tap at Behringer's Bratwursthausle in Nuremburg. Bright gold pour. Creamy white head. Floral hops and sweet malt nose. Crisp grainy malt flavor upfront. Grassy and a hint of mineral on the tongue. Spicy hop finish. Goes together wonderfully with those Nuremburg sausages. Tasted on 8/19/19.

Victim of the German way of tapping a beer. This pilsener hasn’t passed away, but is still in a coma. Low on carbon, but the head is great, you can cut it with a knife. The last remains of a hoparoma, floowed by a slightly hoppy, malty flavor. Also fresh from tap it would be a mediocre pilsener.

500ml bottle. Clear, yellow-ish, pale golden colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, snow-white head. Minimally spicy, strawy, pale malty aroma, very cautious citrusy, slightly grassy, minimally herbal, hoppy overtones, whiffs of lemon, lemon balm. Taste is biscuity and minimally strawy, pale malty, slightly grassy and minimally citrusy hoppy, a touch of lemon, lemon biscuit in a quite diluted mode. Well balanced, harmonious, mild and mellow. Not bad.

Malzig in Nase und Trunk, dann schnell bitter, leicht süß, zuweilen etwas wässrig. Trinkbar wenn auch langweilig.

Draft in Bamberg, late on Saturday evening, 8th Sep 2018. Bog standard golden and clear Pilsener in all aspects. Fast fading white crown on a clean body, very little aroma or flavour. Light floral notes with a grainy undertone in the nose, taste hop dry. Nothing wrong with it, just nothing to make it stand out from the crowd.
