Bottle. It pours a clear, golden body under a small, white head. The aroma has a touch of something cardboardish, but mostly it’s fruity and grassy. It’s rather thin on the palate, dry. The flavor is a bit fresher than the aroma, with pale malts, grass and some fruityness. A bit low on bitterness I think, also in the finish. A quite uninteresting one, not too pleasant either. 120217

Pale golden, a bit unclear, quickly collapsing fluffy white head; sweetish-grainy nose with a certain herbal-hoppy touch; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, soft MF, light to medium bodied; slight bisquity traces in the sweet-grainy finish, followed by a light hoppy trail. Well crafted Helles....

Bottle, thanks Pivnizub. Golden, fine carbonation, white head. Honey malt aroma. Bready base, mineral edges, good grassy and light aromatic hop profile. Chewy, fullbodied, yet light on the palate. Grassy herbal finish. Well crafted and moreish.

(screw cap bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a big and blond dense foamy head. Strawy malty aroma with slightly grainy and shy herbal hoppy accents. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Pale malty taste with a whiff of biscuits; moderately sweet and faint bitter finish with just a whiff of herbal hops. The archetypical Helles from Lower Bavaria; anyway better than most of the bland Lagers of the world. 09.VIII.10

Bottled(500ml). -Screw off cap like on Xibeca or Spanish San Miguel. Pale golden coloured, small white head, stale honeyish nose. Sweet honey, weak hoppy and light herbal taste with notes of corn. Short sweetish finish.

Bottle bought by ogivlado somewhere in Bavaria, en route to Plzen (thanks for sharing!) Poured a golden/yellow body with a small, tiny even white head. The nose is quite simple, very light and honeyish, and the taste didn’t impress me either. Honey again, shapeshifting to cooked corn at times... hops are barely an aftertought. A dull helles that’s ok, but we’ve all had better.

bottle. Golden yellow colour, creamy and persistent head. Hoppy nose. Very pleasant hoppy flavour, malty background. Fuzll-bodied. Hints of herbs. Very good Helles with a Pils-character because of its lovelly hoppiness.
