Very good, stable, yellowish-pink head over chestnut brown, clear beer. Bread, sweet, eggnogg, breadcrust, brown candi syrup. Liquorice, sweet bread, leafy, breadcrust, bit nutty. Well-bodied, slick, almost viscous. Warming, chewy. Ultra classical. Txs to B&T for the gift!

# 1345; 2/2019. Velmi dobrý bock. V chuti dominuje sušené ovoce, zejména švesky, velmi dobře pitelné.

Steinkrug, Pfahler Gasthaus. Malt and peacharoma. Full bodied, sweet, malty, pear, peach. The alcohol is totally hidden by the malty, fruity sweetness. Even a hint of tartness. Love it, though it does need some more roasted malt.

Dunkler Doppelbock mit 7,5 % Alk. 18 % Stammwürze. Sehr klare, sehr dunkelrote Farbe. Schwarzer Rubin. Geringe Schaumentwicklung. Geruch: Traubensaft trifft Malzbier.

Cleanly made bock. Plum-like flavours and medium body. A very nice looking beer with great head and head retention. Pivovarsky klub prague.

Bottle: Clear, ruby-amber coloured, mid-sized beige head, moderate sweet caramelly-fruity nose; moderate sweet flavour - not cloying - with a delicate bitterness, medium to full bodied, neither tart nor soft; slightly lingering sweet dark-malty finish with shy traces of balancing hops. A simple, not unpleasant, session Doppelbock....

Dunkler, mild süßer Malzantrunk. Für einen Doppelbock etwas zu starke Karbonisierung, ab dem Mittelteil hintergründig alkoholisch. Süßlich malziger, karamellig getreidiger Nachhall. 10/9/9/9/6/9

(bottle) Clear, chestnut brown colour with a beige medium-sized foamy head. Mildly bready dark malty aroma with notes of caramel, as well as hints of molasses, sugar beet and traces of dried fruits. Sweet and delicately flavour, medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation. Dark malty taste with notes of bread, caramel, dried fruits, such as raisins and a whiff of molasses; sweet but not cloying malty finish with notes of caramel and a muted alcoholic strength. Not bad, but also not breath taking. 28.XI.16
